Ox Rank: 2 Also referred as the cow on the calander, oxen rank 2nd on the Chinese Zodiac. Oxen are hard-working and diligent, when they start a task they stick to it to the end. They are known to be the best workers out of all the Zodiac. They always believe in themselves when it comes to accomplishing a task. Oxen are born role models because of their high moral nature. They always classify something as either bad or good...nothing in between. Oxen can be closed minded at times because of their morality. But they are nevertheless a type to look up to. Oxen aren't very social...on the outside they seem very withdrawn and shy. Even though they appear to be very peaceful, inside they are very impulsive and unpredictable. When an ox becomes mad, all reservation is lost, and they become very fearsome when in rage. Oxen are known for being very observant...they have remarkable memories. They can meet somebody for only a minute and meet up with the same person five years later and remember their name. But this can also be a negative trait in an ox, because of their ability to never forget, it's very hard to seek forgiveness from an ox. They hold grudges. In their homes, Oxen are very wonderful to be around. Their inside lives are much more different than the outside because they feel more secure at home, thus, more open. Because of their intelligent and hard-working nature, they will likely succeed in any career field that involves working with their hands. A good possiblity for an ox is probably a surgeon. Their stubborn personality sometimes makes others angry. When they make a decision, no matter how badly it goes, they will stick by it, knowing inside they made the right one. They refuse to accept the views or opinions of others that contradict their own. But this isn't neccessarily a bad thing, their optimism for the future makes them very confidant. Oxen are very close to their friends and family, but are often dissapointed when their friends don't understand them. But because of their patient and caring nature towards those they care about, they will stick by you even if you don't fully understand their ambitions. An ox can well be the very best friend you could ever have. When it comes to love, they are very loyal and responsible. Seldom jealous, you can count an an ox not to be so smothering and possessive. However, because of their high moral nature, they demand that their partners remain loyal also. Their lovers can count on an ox for being faithful.
