cops suck donuts
came back home...and i got a speeding ticket today...=_= nope, i'm not angry or frustrated or feeling injustified. i admit i was going 45 in a 35 zone and just was unlucky enough to get caught...it IS kinda sad that i didn't feel anything at all because i'm so used to it now~ the cop was a little taken back when i just gave him my license/regis/insurance stuff right away before he could say anything...what really sucks is that he told me "you know i'd let you go, but the city of aurora won't let us do that anymore". yep, yep...Aurora has the crappiest rule for cops that they have to meet a quota of how many tickets they issue (i think its like 40 tickets per month) so they NEVER let anybody go. I know this cuz 6 out of 7 of my tickets were Aurora cops...Denver cops just let me go XD (don't drive like nancie, kids. you'll end up like her and get a red license by the age of 17). Hm...i guess i gotta go to court on this one so i can get my points and fees dropped and etc etc...i swear those people at the municipal court must know me on a first name basis by now >_<. but hey! look on the bright side! at least my speeding problem is getting a LITTLE better...i remember my first ticket i was going 60 in a school zone! eheheh.......heheh....................heh ^^;;
Rukia shrine's layout is done, i think the shrine will be up before i go back up to school...wooooohoo! and Bleach chapter 53 will be done by sunday XD Lego scanned Full Moon wo Sagashite volume 2...gah, i don't think anybody READS our version of FM and just reads craptacular tw's (tw does a decent job with shonen mangas, but personally i think their shoujo attempts stinks >_<)
i got back my exam grade last week...got a B+ (if i just got one more question right i woulda gotten an A, gatdammit =_=)! i studied myself into a SARS infected state of mind for that test but it's sad because according to the prof., majority of the people in the class got a D average...yikes...don't ever say arts and humanities classes are easy, people!!! *shakes fist*

the human mind vs. the human condition Kat, I'm a gal of my word! XD I started the beginnings of a Rukia shrine from Bleach (my shinigami girl crush!). And to add to the shrine, me and some buddies did...*drumroll* !!! This is an awesome chapter just when the story begins to get good (when Rukia's confronted about her feelings for Ichigo and we get to meet her older brother ^^) Don't download if you don't like spoilers! I'm not sure if I'll bother doing another chap...to be honest i did this so i could scare tw into doing bleach faster (one chap every month...COME ON!). Well, unless anybody wants to help me edit more chapters! Muhuhaha! XD Many many MANY thanks to good ole yuu and jieunie for helping me out with this solo project...i owe you mucho~ T_T Now all the web needs is a Orihime/Chad/Kon shrine and I'll be very content XD (btw: i'm a huuuuuuuuge fan of the Ichigo+Rukia pairing and the Chad+Orihime pairing...Chad and Orihime are SO right for each other it's not even funny XD)

well anyway, a quick change of topic from my usual crack-influenced crazy talk XD. Some little brothers and sisters have been looking for what to major in (you know you're getting pretty damned old when people start coming to you for school advice T_T) and they've kept asking me what sociology is. Well, the best way to explain socio is that it's like another form of psycology, only it'sseperate from psycology. For example, when somebody commits suicide, a psycologist would analyze what was the person's state of mind when they did it. A sociologist would analyze what influenced this person to commit suicide (his surroundings, his family, his health). I chose sociology as my major since my graphic/web designer major wouldn't secure me a steady art-related career when i graduate (thank you very much george "what-the-fuck-are-you-doing-in-the-white-house" bush) so i changed it from being my minor to my major. It's a really interesting major in my opinion. But the main thing about sociology is that you have to take an external point of view to everything...meaning you can't find yourself attached or biased on any subject you observe.
For my exam, i had to write a brief essay on what i believed was the main influence in the "patriotism" of America and what brought about this drastic change so thoroughly. I theorized that the religious influence played a huge factor in this sudden "us against them" feeling that swept this country. If you think about it, what is the representation of a "terrorist"? What is the representation that we present ourselves to be? If you think about it, Christianity and other major religions play a huge role in society's structual functions and how many people fortify with and against one another. Every country in the world (other than Israel) has a population that's overwhelmingly against the war in the first place (the people, not the leaders) and it also shows a collective/religious joining in that way also. well short version: my theory is that patriotism plays along the lines on joining a collective due to religious consciences. Well, it's a theory anyway ^^ This was a HARD topic for me to not take a biased stance on...since you all know how much i LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE that bushie. =_= *eyeroll*

Home again! Although my withdrawal from being away from my computer is getting somewhat better, I still miss it so much while i'm away T_T This once a week raping everyone's blog at once has got to stop XD I finished my first exam in Social Theory class...which was torture to study for since most of it was self-theorization. My brain is still a bit too fuzzy to recollect my theory for the next exam, but I'll most likely rant about it later.

Speaking of shrines, I think I'm finished with my Tao Ren shrine layout right over nyaa. Lana told me it was too red...but i love red! Ren suits red! I got about half the content done, I just have to the tedious things like screencap and make media XD I think the Ren shrine is just my excuse/distraction from the fact for the past few weeks i've been working on nothing but gomu-gomu.net (and i think being surrounded by too much oda eiichiro causes me to go crazy because i swear for a brief period a couple days ago, i suddenly announced it was time we sail off to the grand line @_@)
Ah! And i took everyone's advice (cept for the gasoline one, chun validated my fear that it'll ruin the paint >_<) and took a load of kitchen ingredients out to my car to see if I could get the gum off my car. Colorado weather is INSANE!!!!! the entire month of june was so cool that i took advantage of the nice 70 degree weather...but now every single day in July we've been hit with over 90 degree weather...it's absolutely HORRIBLE!!! My bed is literally drenched in my sweat every morning i wake up...the nights are over 90 degrees too! HOW INSANE IS THAT??? damn colorado crazyass weather moodswings to hell! I want to move to Alaska and live with the eskimos and polar bears...anything is better than this horrible heat (Colorado might not have the humidity, but our altitude makes us closer to that scorching sun >_<)
It's been so hot that i went to the salon and hacked off my hair today...my hair used to be 3 inches past my shoulders, now it's short and i looooooooooooooooove it! i actually feel wind on my neck! hoooooooooo XD My stylist gave me the messy bed headed look so if i go to class in the morning, i can just shag my head and walk out the door without blowdrying (YEEEEEEEEES!) I also bleached it last night so now its a nice new auburny color than bright blond highlights...hohoho! to hell with long hair! Altho my mood was kinda ruined when my nieces saw me and told me "you look so pretty! like AYANAMI REI!!!" =_= .............ayanami rei?
OH! I saw one of my cousins after a long three-four(?) years for the fourth of july weekend. He came up from his base in Texas and I was so happy to see him after such a long time, it was kinda cool cuz he's now an ensen in the navy and he's learning to pilot planes...which we kinda got in an argument about bush's waste of tax money on all these extra planes and everything =_= well, it was good talking to him after such a long time, i hope he doesn't stay away for like ten thousand years like he did before!
Kage sent me the Dave Chapelle HBO special...it's SO funny XD i love that man!

there goes my money...*opens wallet and a moth flies out*
someone stole my cellphone T_T i'm half pissed/half feeling really pathetic. it was stolen RIGHT in front of me! i was at the grocery store and the clerk didn't have a bagger, so i put down my cellphone for a second to help bag my stuff. i look up after a few seconds and my cellphone is missing!!! i saw three black middle-schoolers laughing at me while they were walking away after getting their stuff from the checkout next to me, but at that time i didn't suspect them cuz i thought i might've accidentally dropped it. after a minute of frantic searching and scouring, the clerk told me, "i think those girls who left might've took it!" So i run to the front doors and asking the security guard (who is extremely old and overweight) if he could catch those girls and he just peeks out the door and says "they're gone". ARRRRGGGHHH~!
I think i'm more upset over the fact i lost my phone numbers than the actual cellphone itself. It had all my phone numbers (cuz i'm too lazy to write things down in planner) and now i'm COMPLETELY cut off from everyone...the bad part is i can't even call them to ask them for their numbers cuz i dont HAVE their numbers! T_T I'm ashamed to say the only number i memorized from my phone book was my home phone number (nancie does not have the kind of mind that remembers jumbles of numbers, that's why she sucked at math). So now i have a new cellphone after canceling the last one right away...the bad news is that i had to dip into my savings and shell out 250 bucks for a new phone. the good news is that it's pretty and not dinged up and scratched up like my last phone...(well, gimme a good month to ruin it XD)
i ordered 60 dollars worth of korean manhwa(manga) online...yes i'm insane! @_@ many MANY thanks to moonju who helped me research online book stores. I ordered Bleach 3-8, Shaman King 20-24, and One Piece 25-27. I don't think it was a bad investment considering i only paid around 3 dollars per book and shipping wasn't even all that bad! (it was .70 cents per book and 3.15 for handling ^^). When I was in new york and bought fruits basket 1-8, it cost me 80 bucks! I saw fruits basket up to volume 10 on the site...i was tempted to buy that too, but decided to save it until 11 comes out soon. Well, if you guys want to buy some Korean manhwa too, here's the cheapest and best online store to get it, Aladdin U.S. (the site itself is entirely in Korean tho). For other research, i found that Yesasia had the cheapest Chinese manga compared the other places. Just plugging for people that are as irresponsible yet stingy about money as i am XD
OHH! Many thanks to Mako, i got around to watching Prince of Tennis today...I went to A-O's bittorrents and downloaded episodes 1-5...and i'm completely shocked. Who knew an anime dedicated to TENNIS was so good?!?!?!?! Maybe i'll crack down and download the manga scans XD
Ever since mercedes' Shikamaru/Ino rants, i've been finding more and more clues leaning towards a possible pairing of the two in the Naruto manga 0_o. Some people argued that it actually might be CHOUJI that might have feelings towards Ino, but this'll prove em wrong ^^. Even tho poor Shikamaru claims he hates women, (who can blame him, he's always matched up against one for some reason ^^;;) his daddy makes a nice speech like the whipped man he is XD. Naruto chap 174 is so worth it just seeing that Shika may be a chubby chaser...oh, yeah...and that whole Sasuke/Naruto fight thingy...whatever. okok, enough of my weird shika/ino ranting, that's mercedes' job XD i'm more of a hinata/naruto girl myself.

FINISHED ORDER OF THE PHOENIX! took me forever but i finally did it! *throws confetti* WOOOOOOOO! To be honest, i think this book was really depressing and it was really suffocating to push myself to read without skimming. But i made to read the whole thing word for word (even those uncomfortable parts) so i'm patting myself on the back ^^ JK Rowling still remains my favorite author and i love the way Harry and all the other characters are much much MUCH more realistic...but i hope she doesn't make Harry suffer so much (when he suffers, i suffer T_T)
ah! mercedes i love ya so much with your shikamaru rants!!! XD Shikamaru kicks major butt and he's been steadily gaining more and more fans...it's so sad Naruto and Sasuke can't have the same relationship as Shika and Chouji have (and if masashi-sensei is willing enough, maybe he might write a steady "possible" bond between Ino and Shika?) ah who knows >_<

Anyway, i won't go into another long harry potter rant again *watches people sigh in relief* 0_o but here are some things i'm predicting in the next 2 books...then again, i'm a lot like professor trelawney, so it's all a stab in the dark to me! XD (SPOILERS, highlight if you want to read ^^):
- Lupin will die (yes, i love him too, but we all know it's gonna happen T_T)
- Some revealing triangle story between Lily, James, and Snape
- Harry getting his horomones settled by a girlfriend (most likely it's not ginny but luna >_<)
- Hadgrid's little brother saving the giants from voldy
- Malfoy and Harry teaming up (that stupid sorting hat's prediction anyway =_=)
- Dumbledore actually being evil (that's my guess anyway...something's just not right with him 100%!)
- Harry meeting his parents and Sirius again from that weird mystery veil and the department of mysteries in the ministry of magic
- Peter Pettigrew will save Harry's life since Harry saved his in book 3 (that rat >_>)
Brad told me that Rowling already has the 7th and last book written. PLEASE LORD...don't let rowling make us wait another 3 years for the next book T_T ah, and the girlies at shoujostation came up with interesting points on how book 5 is really similar to pre-WWII days...with winston churchill trying to convince the country that another world war will be amongst them, with hitler being part jewish himself hunting down people that were dirty to the German race, and with hitler gathering an axis of evil with countries nobody would've guessed would join him. Pretty freaky, ne? 0_o
herm...people really gotta get some anti-virus programs on their computer or be careful what they download from random e-mail attachments...i'm getting really frustrated from getting literally 70 spam mails a day and i'm tired of trying to block out ten thousand words through my mail filters >_< (and majority of them are "penis enlargement" or "free dog tracker" spams) yaaaaaaaaargh! *goes nuts*
Tokyopop has just gotten the rights to Fruits Basket and Pita Ten manga...all together now..."NOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOO OOOOOO OOOOOOO!!!!" Let's hope the person who edits Fruits Basket is the editor who worked on Chobits and not the horrible HORRIBLE person who edited Kodocha. T_T
