Uzumaki Naruto
At first, Naruto thought Kakashi was a flake...until their test. Kakashi seems determined to teach Naruto the value of friendship and not letting his overenthusiasm get in the way of everything. However, Kakashi admires Naruto for not showing his weaknesses especially after the hard times he had to grow up with. Kakashi acknowledges the fact Naruto's chakra potential could be greater than his own.

Haruno Sakura
Sometimes Kakashi gets frustrated at the fact Sakura is head over heels in puppy love with Sasuke, but in return, Sakura gets annoyed by Kakashi's laid back attitude. But in another way, Sakura is his most useful student. Her knowledge is far greater than both Naruto and Sasuke and she's always the one to explain things out. Kakashi also praised her that her chakra control is the best out of all three.

Uchiha Sasuke
The most advanced out of all three students and the last surviving Uchiha blood, Sasuke is most likely Kakashi's favorite. Sasuke has Sharingan eyes...the same Sharingan Kakashi has on his left eye, only less developed. Kakashi seems intent on training Sasuke to the fullest, especially at the chunnin exams. But there seems to be an ulterior motive why Kakashi has singled Sasuke out...
