W.B.A.Q?
W.B.A.Q (or why bother to even to ask questions). Well, this is a Shikamaru site, isn't it? He wouldn't even bother to ask. ^_^ Okay, i just thought it was funny, so sue me.
Who is this Shikamaru fella you speak of?
The guy on the right who's looking pissed off right now, that's Shikamaru. Know you nothing, fool! I mean, he's just another character in the Naruto series, a fairly important one you didn't expect to see be made into one of the protagnists. I thought his first fight was just well... kinda.. there.. I really didn't bother to read it, then i loved him and then i read it again and it was fun! I had to reread alot of the chapters i just skimmed through because i thought he was rather unimportant so i didn't even bother to remember his name, let alone what he looked like. But that's what he wants anyway, isn't it?
What is Naruto?
A japanese comic book about this ninja who doesn't amount to anything but becomes one of the most respected people of his village despite the fact everyone hated him. Shikamaru is in the story line because he's Naruto's age and goes through all the trials Naruto's going through as well. He's kinda there to provide perspective.
Sounds interesting, where can i get it?
Well, VIZ is translating it right now and they don't do such a terrible job. I have Gundam Wing which they translated and i thought they did satisfactory. They even added little author comments and the such. If your like me and and want the japanese version (because i might as well complete the set in the language i originally bought it in) then you can go to Sasuga Books. I like them, but most of the time they don't have the books I want on hand so it takes a month or two to get what i ordered.
Are you just obsessed with Shikamaru, or are there others?
Why yes, Kakashi! He's my favorite! ^_^ Along with everyone elses favorite, but i was the first which is all i can really hold on to right now. Well, at least i made the first Kakshi shrine. And right now, I'm the only one who has made a Shikamaru site as well. Maybe i'm trying not to be conformist, but i rather doubt it. It's proably because i've read more than most Americans have because of the Japanese versions.
