The Neji problem is quite a big problem for Hinata, though she doesn't consider him a problem really. She doesn't feel the same hurt others would in this situation and continues to call her cousin "brother neji"

The problem here is this: Neji is far more powerful than any of the Main house but it part of the branch house, so therefore he is not only untrained in the techniques he has mastered, but he cannot not even become head of the Main house. Because of this, hatred brews. After all, he is the most powerful rookie (even though beaten by Naruto so he probably has to now deal with some serious identity problems) and why shouldn't he be welcomed into the house. Now all that is left for him is to destroy the Main house to let them know they are wrong.

eep.

But what really jerks little Neji is Hinata. She, of the main house, and the daughter of the leader of the Main house for that matter is weaker than a new born kitten (in his opinion). How can he not be accepted into the main house when he is stronger than the daughter of the most powerful ninja in the Hyuga Ichizoku.

So, he not only has to deal with his revenge and hatred, but his resentment. Hinata wants Neji to like her, but she can never doe this because she is as weak as she is therefore she will never get his respect (even though she is far more powerful than most ninjas are at this point.) What he once thought was cute is no longer because of his hate. (He called Hinata cute once, and then he fond out she was a Hyuga and so now he hates her shy personality.)
